25 Random Things about ~mIsTy~

1. Jeff has my heart and my heart is the happiest it's ever been. Yes, I was married and no it didn't last long. Let's just say dating someone and then living with someone after you're married are two very different things. I believe when two people are truly in love, they walk beside each other, not one in front of the other. Being in love requires give and take and a fifty-fifty effort on BOTH parts. If both parties aren't willing to consider that, then things *sometimes* just don't work.

2. I believe we are all part of a plan. People walk in and out of our lives for a reason, and things ~good and bad~ happen even though we may not understand why.

3. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my sister! She is my best friend! We have so many crazy, fun, silly memories. She cries when I cry, I laugh when she laughs and I couldn't ask for a more thoughtful, beautiful and bestest sister! ..She brought me flowers to school today to celebrate my Teacher of the Year accomplishment!!!

4. Christmas is my most favorite time of year! I feel like a kid the whole month or December. I love picking out and cutting down a real tree at Christmas. This is mine and Jeff's tradition and we'll carry it on with our kids!!

5. I love surprises!! It kills me to know that I don't know what the surprise is ...but I'd be disappointed if you told me.

6. I wish I could think on my feet. I can never think of the right thing to say until it's too late.

7. I'm obsessed with Dierks Bentley. He was my first concert and Yes I named my dog after him. He's a hottie, a cowboy AND he can sing! Whew, ok I'm flustered... (I love you Jeff).

8. I love to crank up the radio, blare music and sing to the top of my lungs in my car.

9. I have never spent the night in the hospital as a patient and I've never had surgery.
(Knock on wood)...

10. I love to wear bluejeans and flip-flops...Comfy cozy...I hate to dress up.

11. Fresh flowers make me smile. My favs are Gerber Daisy's, Tiger Lillies, and Miniature Roses. I love Tulips planted outside, but in a bouquet I think they look strange.

12. Wine is delicious and I love the warm, fuzzy feeling I get when I drink it. :-}

13. Teaching is what I was born to do. I absolutely adore my kids at school. My job is THE BEST!!! In fact, most days I don't feel like it's a "job". There are no 2 days that are the same...kids say the funniest things and they love you no matter what.

14. Reading is not my cup of tea. I hate to read, unless it's to my kiddos at school.

15. I am organized at school but not so much at home. I like for things to be neat but I hate to clean. Does that make sense?

16. When it comes to exercise, I'm lazy. I HATE IT ... so yeah, losing weight is that much harder.

17. I think my blood is Carolina Blue. ...GO HEELS!

18. I'm a work-a-holic. I could probably eat and sleep at school but I'd miss Jeff, my Bentbent and Roxxann too much. There is always something to do there...and I never seem to mind doing it. (Minus the parent/teacher conferences) ...But that'll all change when I have kids of my own, so I've been told.

19. Concerts are the best! I love music!!! I've seen My Dierks & Miranda Lambert, Keith Urban & Carrie Underwood, Kenny Chesney & Sugarland, Brad Paisley & Taylor Swift & Rodney Atkins, Bon Jovi & Chris Daughtry, Tom Petty and all the rappers @ SUPERJAMZ 2007...I used to think it was dumb to spend money on live music when you can just listen to it on the radio but I was sooo wrong! Aaahh, there is nothing like seeing it live, hearing the blare, all the fans screaming...I'M GETTING EXCITED!

20. I go to Myrtle Beach every summer, it's a family tradition I can't live without!

21. I hate to be hot. Sweating isn't my thing unless I'm on a float in the pool or laying on the beach.
I would so leave the thermostat on 65, if Jeff would let me.

22. I'd rather text than talk on the phone.

23. Being a bitch just isn't nice. So why are there so many women who find it necessary to be bitches?

24. I don't like conflict, in fact I try to avoid it at all costs. ...So maybe that explains my #23, huh?
I have a hard time speaking up for myself...but good news! I AM getting better. My life over the past 3-4 years has kind of forced me to do so. I really think people are too quick to judge so unless you've been there, done that...then no, you don't REALLY know.

25. I'm so impatient (I get that from my Dad)
...except with kids...
I hate waiting on something, especially for slow drivers to get the frig outta the fast lane...ah ha ha ha!

My Favorite day of the week....sAtUrDaY!!!

Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii...This is my first blog ever and I'm excited!
Let me tell you whats going on in my life at the present moment. Well, I'm sitting on the couch in my pj's...the AC has froze up so the windows are opened, the birds are chirping and I love Spring! However...it's supposed to be 80 degrees today and there is nothing worse than being hotter inside the house than out so I'm hoping the little AC man shows up soon to fix our BIG problem!
And if I'm waiting on him, it's probably best to get off of here and into the shower so I don't scare him off with my very scary bed head. :)

My plans for today include washing clothes (that's #1 on my list since it hasn't been done all week!), tanning bed, exchange some items at Bath & Body Works (I got lots of smelly-bads from the kids at school for Teacher Appreciation Week and I'm going to trade them in for smelly "goods"), a little bit of shopping (maybe flip-flops, since I'm addicted, maybe a few Primitives for a corner wall in the living room, or maybe a few new pieces of clothing (since I've lost 42 lbs since January!!!). I also have to pick up some sundae toppings for a friend of mines Baby Shower, which is next Saturday. She's expecting her first child, a baby boy and I can't wait to meet him.

One more thing on my to-do list is to call several Wedding venues and get prices. This should be at the top of my list, since Jeff and I are planning to get married next Spring! ~Speaking of Jeff~he is my very best friend and I love him with all of my heart! I can't wait to be his wife and start a family with him. Here are 2 pictures of us; The one to the right was taken at one of our most favorite places, Foothills Brewery in Winston Salem. In the picture below, we are at the Salute! Wine Festival on 4th Street in Winston, just a couple of weeks ago.
